Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Bilâl mobile app (“Bilâl”, “the app”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Using the app
Bilâl is provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You may use it on devices you own or control, consistent with the app-store rules you obtained it under. You agree not to copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or tamper with the app except to the extent the law expressly permits.
Religious-observance disclaimer. Prayer times and the Qibla direction in Bilâl are calculated estimates, produced from standard astronomical formulas, the calculation method and settings you choose, your device’s location, and — for the live compass — your device’s sensors. They may differ from your local mosque or religious authority. For matters of religious obligation, please verify times and direction with a trusted local source. Phone compasses can be affected by metal, magnets, cases, and electronics; use the app’s accuracy guidance and the sun when in doubt.
No warranty
Bilâl is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its calculations will meet every requirement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer of Bilâl will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any reliance on the app’s times or direction. Because Bilâl is provided free of charge, the developer’s total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it (which is zero).
Apple App Store
If you obtained Bilâl from the Apple App Store, these Terms are between you and the developer, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
Google Play
If you obtained Bilâl from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always posted at this address with its “Last updated” date; continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
